Important: Upcoming IMAIL Mail Server Migration on December 10th, 2024 (Action Required)
Dear Valued Customers, Over the past year, we have been enhancing our mail services to improve reliability and performance. We're excited to announce that on December 10th, 2024, we will be migrating all users to a new and more robust mail server solution. Action Required: Update Your Email Settings If you use third-party email software such as Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird—or if you access email on a mobile device—you may need to update your account settings to ensure uninterrupted service after the migration. What needs to be updated? If your email username is listed simply as "myusername" without "@meganet.net," you will need to append "@meganet.net" to your username, making it "myusername@meganet.net" (without quotes). This applies to both incoming and outgoing mail server settings. If you are a business customer using a custom domain (e.g., "myusername@mycustomdomain.com"), no changes are required unless your custom domain aliases to "@meganet.net," you will need to update your username accordingly. These changes should be made prior to December 10th, 2024. How to check and update your settings: Help documents are available to guide you through the process of updating your mail server settings in popular email software and mobile apps: Mail server settings in Outlook Mail server settings in Apple Mail Mail server settings in Mozilla Thunderbird Mail server settings on Android Mail Mail server settings on iOS (iPhone, iPad) Mail Webmail Users: No Action Needed If you access your email through our webmail interface, no changes are required. After the migration on December 10th, you will see a new login screen, and you can sign in using your current username and password. We intend to keep the IMAIL server online for the foreseeable future for archival purposes. Important Notes: We are committed to ensuring that all user emails stored on our server will be migrated to the new system. However, as a precaution, we strongly encourage you to save any important emails before the migration. Unfortunately, contact lists will not be automatically migrated for users who access email via the webmail interface. You will, however, be able to export your contacts from the current system and import them into the new one. Here’s how. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to enhance and improve your email experience. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@meganet.net. Please do not reply directly to this email as this mailbox is not monitored. A note on phishing: While we understand that you may frequently receive emails notifying you of changes to your email, which are generally phishing attempts. This official notice has been added to our website here so that you may verify its authenticity. Thank you for choosing us. Best regards,Meganet Support Team2024-11-04 13:52
